Note From Kylie
I have always believed in the transformative power of words—and more importantly, The Word of God, which is what led me to pursue an M.S. in Communication. I strive to craft stories and messages that promote inclusivity, self-love, and a deeper understanding of His love for each of us.
Recently, my adventurous family spent the last four enriching years living in Singapore, a time that profoundly shaped my perspective on life, faith, and culture. This experience inspired me to become a children's book author. My book, Lady Bug, was written to teach children to embrace their individuality while also appreciating the beauty in others' differences.
The main character, Lady Bug herself, longs to resemble the other beautiful bugs she encounters. Their diverse colors, shapes, and sizes stir feelings of jealousy as Lady Bug becomes more aware of her own uniqueness. She tries to alter her appearance to blend in, but soon realizes that the physical and emotional toll of changing herself is too much to bear. She ultimately realizes that her differences are what make her special, just like her friends’ characteristics that she once envied.
Through playful and rhythmic words, children will uncover a heartfelt lesson about self-acceptance. If you're interested in purchasing Lady Bug, you can purchase it here: www.booksbykylie.com.It is also available at Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
Words are powerful and I strive to reflect that in everything that I think, write, and speak. Sharing and learning from others through various media forms is my passion, and I am truly honored to be part of a community where incredible women seek sisterhood rooted in faith.
